Hat Creek Camp has been a premier Virginia retreat center in the scenic, hills of Central Virginia since the 1960’s. A typical HCC retreat lasts from Friday until Sunday (2 nights), but custom or midweek schedules can sometimes be arranged.

CUSTOM

There’s no better unique and exciting environment to engage your students than at HCC! Customize and plan your own weekend using HCC’s facilities and unique challenging experiences. A HCC host will serve your group while on site. Besides set meal times, the entire retreat is customizable— it’s your retreat!

HCC PROGRAMMED

A HCC Programmed retreat is your complete retreat. HCC takes care of all the details so you can spend your time investing in your students! That’s right, we’ll provide everything from the band and speaker to the activities and food…all you have to do is book and show up. The program is a purposeful merger of faith and fun— the fun doesn’t stop when students enter the service and the focus on Christ is woven throughout the activities. Programmed retreats are currently offered for Middle and High School student groups in the Winter, and Spring.

PRIVATE GROUPS

Ideally set up for church retreats of all types or adult retreats, HCC provides a peaceful escape where guests can spend time connecting with others or being refreshed by time alone next to the lake or hiking one of HCC’s many nature trails. When it’s time to come together, HCC’s meeting spaces will provide all the multimedia needs of today in a comfortable, climate controlled space. You won’t go home hungry either, as HCC will provide delicious homemade food for every meal.

SCOUT TROOP RETREATS

If you’re the leader of a boy scout, girl scout, eagle scout, cub scout, or trail life troop and you’re looking to plan your next overnight campout, we’d love to host you at our Scouting camp site. Surrounded by peaceful woods but conveniently accessible is HCC’s activity area known as “The Wilderness”. This campground is available for rental during the Fall & Spring months when they are not in use as part of HCC’s summer camps. The Wilderness comes complete with tent camping sites (Tents can be provided for an extra fee), and fire pit. Our facilities + your activities = the perfect boy scout or girl scout event!
